Aluminate metallic accents
With the Aluminate program, accenting your cabinetry with metallic mixed media is a breeze. Adelphi offers aluminum frame doors in a range of desirable colors and patinas, panel and frame trim strapping for a bold accent, metal grille inserts for open frame doors, frame base systems for toe-less cabinets, and much more.
Aluminum frame doors
Five distinctive styles of aluminum-framed doors are available from Adelphi. Each door is available with your choice of 11 unique finishes. Inserts range from basic clear or frosted glass through brightly colored backpainted glass and resins to most painted, stained, or laminated materials that we can manufacture here at the factory. Click on any of the door styles below to learn more about it.
Panel strapping and Sterling Inset
For an eye-catching metallic accent, metal strapping can be applied to the face of any 3/4” thick door with a square bead and flat center panel. The Shaker door is highly recommended for this application, as opposed to Legacy I.
Strapping can also be applied around the inside edge of the face frame to create Sterling Inset; this will create a line of metallic finish visibly outlining each door and drawer. When you open the cabinet, the full width of the strap will be visible on the frame’s edge. The sterling inset style comes in two types: “Fine Sterling Inset”, which is 1/16″ thick material applied to a 1 1/2″ wide flush inset frame; and “Bold Sterling Inset”, which is 1/4″ thick material applied to a 1 1/4″ wide face frame in the same way as beaded inset.
Both panel straps and Sterling Inset are available in your choice of five finishes. Note that “Sterling” in the name Sterling Inset does not apply to the color, but only to the name of the program. You must specify the color that you want. Please note this may not be compatible with certain materials or textures, such as Strata or Euro-Contemporary.
